It takes place in the context of demographic transition, where Africa has a unique opportunity to transform its human potential into a lever for sustainable socio-economic development. The Demographic Dividend Monitoring Index (DDMI) was created to measure progress achieved and guide public policies in this field.

This seminar, organized by the Consortium Régional pour la Recherche en Économie Générationnelle (CREG) in partnership with the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP), aims to present DDMI results across 20 African countries, foster critical reflection on policy recommendations, and define action pathways to strengthen the impact of national and regional strategies.
